Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) specialising in English and ready to start your teaching career this September?

Link3 Recruitment is working in partnership with a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Nottinghamshire to appoint a motivated English Teacher (ECT) for a full-time, permanent role starting September 2026.

The Role:

  • Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may be available)
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that develop students’ reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and GCSE specifications
  • Support students in developing confidence, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement
  • Contribute to the wider English department and school community

We’re Looking For (Keywords):

  • English Teacher / Teacher of English / ECT / NQT
  • QTS (or pending QTS by Summer 2026)
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature
  • Good understanding of the UK secondary curriculum (KS3, KS4, GCSE English)
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for literacy, education, and student progress
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive lessons
