We are currently recruiting for a passionate and resilient SEN Teacher to join a brand-new Alternative Provision setting in NG6. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for a rewarding role supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), SEMH needs, and additional barriers to education.

This role is ideal for teachers with experience in:

• SEN Schools
• PRUs (Pupil Referral Units)
• Alternative Provision
• SEMH settings
• Behaviour support
• Trauma-informed education
• Youth support or pastoral roles

You will teach a small group of learners across Maths, English, and Business, delivering personalised education tailored to individual needs while helping students build confidence, resilience, and independence.

• Deliver engaging lessons in Maths, English, and Business
• Differentiate learning to meet a range of SEN and SEMH needs
• Build strong, positive relationships with students
• Use trauma-informed and restorative approaches in the classroom
• Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and wellbeing
• Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
• Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
• Create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience supporting SEN, SEMH, or vulnerable learners preferred
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
