Link3 Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a SEN Setting in Derbyshire. We are ideally looking for someone qualified/unqualified, with strong behavioural experience, who can provide calm, consistent, and effective support for children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Implement strategies to support behavioural, emotional, and social needs
  • Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and structured learning environment
  • Help deliver tailored interventions and support plans
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements

  • Relevant TA or SEN qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience supporting children with behavioural or complex needs in a school setting
  • Strong communication and de-escalation skills
  • A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach suitable for primary-aged pupils

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Right to Work: All candidates must demonstrate a valid Right to Work in the UK.
  • DBS: Applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one prior to starting.

The cost of a DBS will be covered by the applicant.
