Job Title: SEN Tutor (Maths, English, Science) – Flexible Hours

Location: NG2 Area (Local SEN Schools)
Job Type: Flexible / Part-Time / Variable Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking dedicated and passionate tutors to support students in a number of local Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools within the NG2 area. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their academic potential.

Tutors will provide tailored academic support in Maths, English, and/or Science, working with students who may have a range of additional needs including learning difficulties, autism, or social, emotional and mental health needs.

This is a flexible role with variable hours throughout the week, making it suitable for tutors, teachers, graduates, or education professionals looking for adaptable working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and supportive tutoring sessions in Maths, English, or Science
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual SEN learning needs
  • Support students in building confidence and improving academic outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and follow school safeguarding policies
  • Provide feedback on student progress where required

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A patient, supportive, and flexible approach to learning
  • Enhanced DBS on the Child Workforce or Child & Adult Workforce (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
