What inspired you to work in education recruitment?
I started my career as a teacher, which gave me a deep appreciation for the impact education has on children's lives. When I decided to leave the classroom, I knew I still wanted to stay connected to education, just in a different way. Transitioning into education recruitment felt like the perfect fit as it allows me to continue supporting students, but from another angle. By helping talented educators find the right roles, I’m contributing to a positive learning environment for children, which is something I’m really passionate about.
What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?
What I love most about working with educators and schools is finding the perfect role for a great candidate. It’s incredibly rewarding to match someone’s passion and skills with a position where they can truly make a difference. Beyond that, I enjoy building relationships with both the candidates and the schools. Getting to know what makes each school unique and understanding the values and goals of the educators I work with allows me to make connections that benefit everyone involved. Seeing the positive impact that a great match can have on a school community and, ultimately, on students’ learning experiences is what keeps me motivated every day.
If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?
Stay connected to your passion for education. It can be challenging, but the impact you have on students makes it worth it. Stay true to your purpose, and don’t hesitate to seek support. Teaching is a team effort.
