Connor O'Flaherty
Finance Apprentice
What inspired you to work in education recruitment?
What inspired me to work in education recruitment is that I can combine my passion for numbers and finance to help ensure that educator’s payroll is conducted correctly and that financial process of providing schools which teachers is a smooth one.
What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?
My favourite part about working with educators and school is that even from a financial perspective I know that I am making a difference in children’s education and ensure educators are compensated correctly for this.
If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?
Whatever role it may be within education, you are having a positive impact on a child education, this is something incredibly rewarding, my advice is to stay focused on that throughout any challenges that may arise.
Biography
I began my career working in a supermarket, where I gained valuable experience in customer service and teamwork. After a few years, I felt it was time for a new challenge and made the transition to a finance apprenticeship at Link3. This role has been incredibly fulfilling, as it allows me to learn on the job while developing a strong foundation in finance. The opportunity to combine practical experience with education is something that has always inspired me, and I am eager to continue growing and expanding my knowledge. Outside of work I am passionate about staying active and regularly visit the gym to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I also enjoy spending time with friends, helping me to stay balanced and connected.
