What inspired you to work in education recruitment?
I was drawn to educational recruitment because I’m passionate about the impact education has on shaping lives. Knowing that placing the right educator in the right school can influence students’ growth, achievement, and confidence is incredibly rewarding to me. I enjoy building meaningful connections and supporting both schools and candidates in finding the right fit. Being part of a process that strengthens learning environments and contributes to student success is what continues to motivate me in this field.
What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?
My favourite part of working with educators and schools is building strong, trusting relationships and seeing the positive outcomes that come from the right match. I really value getting to know each educator’s strengths, goals, and teaching style, as well as understanding a school’s culture and needs. When those align, it’s incredibly rewarding to know I’ve played a part in supporting both staff and students. Being able to contribute to environments where educators feel supported and schools can thrive is what makes the role so fulfilling for me.
If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?
If I could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, it would be to remember your “why” and hold onto it. Education is incredibly rewarding, but it can also be challenging, so staying connected to the reason you chose this path will keep you grounded and motivated. Be open to learning every day, seek support from colleagues, and don’t underestimate the impact you can have, even the small moments with students can make a lasting difference.
Biography
I’m a people-focused person with a strong sense of family and community, shaped by happy weekends growing up visiting relatives in Cornwall. I’ve loved knitting and sewing since I was four, and I always make time for my friends.
Although I enjoyed studying, I chose to continue learning through meeting new people and finding meaningful ways to help others. With family members working in education, I discovered Link3 and quickly realised how passionate I felt about educational recruitment and the opportunity to support both schools and individuals in making a difference.
