What inspired you to work in education recruitment?
I didn’t originally set out to work in education recruitment. I fell into it after realising how big an impact the right educator can have on a school and on students. My Step Mum is a headteacher of a primary school, so I’ve always admired teachers, but I knew being in the classroom wasn’t for me. Recruitment felt like a way to still support education without teaching myself. Once I saw how much schools rely on the right people at the right time, I knew I’d found something that actually mattered.
What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?
I love the relationships you build over time. You’re not just placing someone once and moving on you get to know schools, understand what works for them, and support educators at different stages of their careers. It feels very personal and collaborative.
If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?
Don’t underestimate the impact you’ll have, even on tough days. You might not always see the results straight away, but what you do matters more than you realise.
