What inspired you to work in education recruitment?
I’ve always believed that education has the power to change lives, and working in recruitment allows me to play a part in that. Connecting the right teachers and support staff with the right schools not only makes a difference to pupils’ learning but also to the careers of the educators themselves. That balance of impact and people is what first drew me in and still motivates me today.
What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?
It’s the relationships. Every school and every candidate is different, and building those trusted partnerships is what I enjoy most. Seeing the difference a great match can make, whether it’s a teacher thriving in a new role or a school finding the support they really need, is incredibly rewarding.
If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?
Be open-minded and resilient. Education is a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same, but if you approach it with passion and flexibility, you’ll always find opportunities to grow, make an impact, and be proud of the work you do.
Short Biography
I’ve worked in education recruitment for over five years, building and leading a busy team in Nottingham. During that time, I’ve worked across Primary, Secondary and SEN, supporting schools with both teaching and support staff. I’m proud of the relationships I’ve built with schools and educators, and I’m especially motivated by helping candidates progress in their careers while making sure schools get the right people in place. Outside of work, life is very full with three young children, two little dogs and all the rest of the chaos that comes with, so I’m no stranger to juggling lots at once!
