​What inspired you to work in education recruitment?

I really wanted to work for a company that had passion for what they were doing and genuinely wanted to make people’s lives better. Link3 really care about candidates and schools. I wanted to work for a company I can get behind.

What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?

You get to meet some really interesting people with a wealth of knowledge and interesting backgrounds.

If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?

The path is a challenging one, but so rewarding. Don’t give up.

Biography

Olwen has worked in Finance for over 16 years, with a background in Management Accounting and Finance Business Partnering, she trained to be an accountant when she worked for The Nottingham Building society, whilst working at their head office in Nottingham. It was there that she achieved her CIMA qualification. She found her passion for Finance later in life as Olwen comes from an art background with a degree in Fine Art; Olwen still dabbles in art part time. Her friends always joke that she is the least likely accountant they’ve ever met due to her being a bit quirky! In her spare time, Olwen loves going to the gym, having competed in local strongwoman competitions, she is also a massive fan of music and regularly goes to gigs around the country with friends. She lives with her partner Matt and has a cat called Muton (don’t ask)
