Rachael Fisher
Compliance & Safeguarding Manager
What inspired you to work in education recruitment?
My love for education: Working in a secondary school for 10 years I’ve always believed in the power of education to transform lives. Working in education recruitment allows me to contribute indirectly by ensuring schools and have access to high-quality educators.
What’s your favourite part about working with educators and schools?
As a Compliance Officer Manager working within a recruitment agency that serves educators and schools, my favorite part would be ensuring that the right candidates are placed in schools/nurseries while maintaining the highest standards of legal and ethical compliance. It’s rewarding to help schools and educators navigate regulations around hiring, safeguarding, and credentialing, ensuring that only qualified, vetted professionals enter the classroom.
I also enjoy the strategic aspect—working closely with recruitment teams and schools to ensure that all candidates meet regulatory requirements, from background checks to certifications. This role blends the responsibility of protecting schools and students with the satisfaction of supporting education systems by placing passionate, compliant educators where they are needed most. Ensuring that the hiring process aligns with both legal obligations and the values of safety and quality education makes the role especially meaningful.
If you could share one piece of advice with someone considering a career in education, what would it be?
"Teaching is about more than delivering lessons—it’s about building relationships, inspiring growth, and having the patience and resilience to navigate challenges. The impact you make on students' lives will last far beyond the classroom."
