About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic HLTA to join secondary schools across Derby. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong classroom skills who is passionate about supporting students and making a difference to their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering lessons to classes in the absence of the teacher, following set lesson plans
Supporting teachers with planning, preparation, and classroom management
Working with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support
Assisting with the assessment and tracking of student progress
Promoting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive learning environment
Supporting the wider school community as required

Requirements:

HLTA status (or equivalent experience working as an experienced Teaching Assistant at a higher level)
Previous experience supporting teaching and learning in secondary schools
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A positive, flexible, and proactive approach
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
