About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, inspiring, and dedicated Science Teacher to join our secondary school in Nottingham. The successful candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science.

This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified teachers who want to make a positive impact in a supportive and forward-thinking Science department.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in line with the national curriculum.

  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, specialising in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, attainment, and personal development.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and engagement.

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a culture of respect and achievement.

  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and enrichment activities.

  • Participate fully in school life, including meetings, professional development, and pastoral duties.


About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Combined Science).

  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for your specialism.

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities.

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • A reflective practitioner committed to ongoing professional development.
